Greetings all,
You may recall an abbreviated WIP thread on this piece a little while back:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=720627
This is a well-traveled knife - from Bruce to Ken Hurst, back to Bruce, then to Paul Long, then to Coop. Now that I am back from some brief travels of my own, the knife has made its way to me.
Specs are as follows:
Blade: Feathered damascus in 1084 / 15N20
Handle: Culpepper dyed amber stag
Dimensions: 7 1/2", 12 3/8 overall
Engraving / gold inlay: Ken Hurst
Bottom line - this just a terrific piece in every respect. The dynamite damascus alone would have been enough to make me a very happy camper, but on top of that I get to enjoy just an exceptional piece of stag and beautifully engraved fittings that all combine to really elevate what was already a superb blade.
My thanks in particular to Bruce, and to all who contributed to my enjoyment of this piece: Ken, Paul and Coop.
Enough talk - here are the pics:
One final shot of the knife and some impressive hardware it picked up at the recent OKCA show:
Cheers,
Roger
