Just arrived in the mail, my first Bruce Bump. Talk about quality - it reeks master smith - "fit and finish" heaven. I can't believe I was lucky enough to get it.

My favorite types of Loveless knives are the small ones (NYS, Hideout, etc) with green canvas micarta and red liners. So this one is really everything that comes to mind when I think of one.

Bruce makes one hulluva quality knife. It's a beauty.

Bob, that is really a beauty. :D You are quite fortunate to get your hands on it. Bruce Bump knives seem to be in great demand these days.

Jon

Rare day here today. I just happened to have received two of Bruce's knives for sheath work. The "Justice" bowie for Roger, which is just plain gorgeous, and a really nice chute knife for Stevie. Bruce knows his business...that's for sure.

that NY Special compelled me to contact Bruce, it's such a fine knife!
We had a good talk, and we'll be working on a design together.
If you are into Bumps, now is a good time to touch bases with the man to ensure that you get on his order list:thumbup:

Yes, he is seriously talented. One of those rare guys who you wonder if there's anything they can't do well.

Bob that looks clean as a pin. I like the small Loveless designs as well. Congrats.

Bruce and I just finalized a design on a bowie yesterday. Really looking forward to seeing
it come together.

I'm resurrecting this thread just to include a great ivory NYS by Steve Likarich, won at Solvang 2010, that compliments the one by Bruce Bump most beautifully.

I do believe tht these New York Specials are probale one of my favorite Loveles designs

The more I look at these fine examples the more I enjoy them

Joe, I kinda hesitate to say it, but I think I am falling for the NYS as a model in a big way - and for these two top examples of the makers' art, both Bruce Bump's and Steve Likarich's.

I love the green canvas micarta and red liners from Bruce - and the ivory and sculpted thong hole area by Steve - wow, I think I am going to begin a small collection of this superb model, from a variety of makers.

Best,

Bob
