Bruce Bump won Best of Show

Absolutely, completley, and utterly no surprise whatsoever. As I said when he first posted it, that was THE most beautiful knife I've ever seen.

Congratulations man, you deserve it.

BTW< that statement above is NO detriment to anything else I've seen posted here. Just that knife was the perfect balance of art, knife and gun, which are three of my favorite subjects. :)

Bruce congratulations on a well-earned award. This is just one, though, of many more to come. It's great being able to learn from and watch you.

Thankyou guys for the pat on the back. I have never won anything at shows before. I was excited to say the least! I think I may have shook them up a bit by taking a gun to a knife show but hey it did have a blade on it. Bruce B

i think that i would also have to fit into the 'hardly surprising' bin.

but it is still a well deserved win.
well done indeed.
:D

0 surprise as far as I'm concerned. The only issue was the legalities of it (does it fit the rules, etc), but outside of it, it was the most technically impressive knife, combined with a perfect fit and taste. Impressive doesn't even start to describe it.

BTW, I'm curious if there are any restrictions as to who you could sell that thing to? Don't you have to make sure that the buyer is not a convicted fellon, or a foreigner, etc?

Thanks again guys. No dont call me Mr. Bump. It makes me feel old. I havent even had my mid-life crisis yet.

Joss, It was good to see you again. There are no resrtictions on the manufacture and/or sale of a gun that loads through the muzzle (muzzleloader) Because it is .22 calibur I have had people suspect it to be a cartridge gun in which case is regulated by the ATF (alcahol tobacco & firearms) I would need a manufacturers licence and a dealers licence including it to be registered when sold. So far the muzzleloaders have not been the gun of choice for robbing convienance stores. Thieves have their reputation to maintain.

I may get laughed out of prison but if I was going to rob a 7/11 I would do it with a muzzle-loader/folding knife that I made myself.

Good on ya Broooooooooooooooooccccceeeeeee!
Now we can say:
'We knew him when..."
Cheers,
Wally
