I just finished this one up. I used Bruce Evans' Bark-Bone for the scales. The stuff is really easy to work, and if finished nicely. I love the soft look that the colors give the knife. It's also my first knife to make in stainless. It's 440c. This knife was made for Ted McMinn, a friend of both mine and Bruce's. -chris

Nice job as alwas Chris. The bone looks real good.
I like your work. I could some of Bruce`s bone right
now for a bowie I`m working on but don`t have the time
to order some.

That is one clean looking little knife! Very nice attention to detail. One really appreciates a flaw free specimen like that when you've tried in vain to do it yourself!

That really compliments your clean work. I keep procrastinating on buying some of this fine stuff, I just gotta get off my duff. Really fine, thanks for sharing.

Dave

PS - Your video is very good, worth every penny. The white board was a kickback to the office! :D I got a big "Well, Duh!" when you showed the scale release method. I got out my one scale release knife and sure enough that's how it worked too. Cripes, some things are so obvious they're invisible. Great job.

I don't get very excited about folders but that one
is a turn on, very clean, nice lines, good looking
scales. It would fit real well in my pocket. Gib

chris is a scale release a auto? one day i want to make a folder slip and lock back are the ones i like. also the benchmade axis is the one newer design i like.

Chris, that is awsome! The fit and finish are incredable. This anouther auto?

I'll second you on the bark bone, I've got a couple pair of scales left that I'm almost scared to use. One set is going on a pocket knife I'll be makeing my father. It realy is great stuff.

Chris puts out some real quality work and offers up some real quality information from his experience. His video is really worth the money-Dan

Ho Hmmmm....another beautiful, functional knife. I wonder if you and Bruce Evans and Bruce Bump, plant beautiful knife seeds and just go out and pick em once every 3 weeks or so.:D

It is a super knife Chris. You are the only one I know that can make hex head screws look traditional. The bolster/scale fit is unbelievable and the overall knife is perfect shape and size and Bruces scales are just iceing on the cake. Now...if you just put it in kit form I may be able to copy it!:D

Thanks guys. Yes, this knife is an auto. Thanks Dave and Tangus for the mentioning the video. I'm glad you found it informative and useful. -chris

Wow! Another gorgeous knife from the talented hands of Chris Crawford! I love the whole thing. Awesome job. :)

I like the knife. It has very clean lines.

Please excuse the following self promotion. I've sold Bruce's Bark Bone to more than twenty makers and have not had one complaint. Bruce process for making Bark Bone involves dying each scale individually. I think this is one reason they look so good.

One maker used the bone on a folder and showed me the finished knife. I told him it was one of the nicest pieces of ivory I had ever seen. He laughed and told me it was Bark Bone. The knife was the first sold at the next show he attended.

Chris, VERY NICE, I like the bone, I admire how you keep your lines nice and straight. Exceptional workmanship. Keep up the good work.
