Bruckmann-convex ground?

I recently found a Bruckmann equal end jack that I bought back in the late 80's from the Parker catalog that I had forgotten about. Beautiful fit and finish, black polish blades, rosewood scales. I decided to sharpen it and put it in the EDC rotation. It felt strange on the Diafold so I stopped and looked a little harder at it. I laid it on a flat surface and there appears to be a little roll from spine to edge. Is it possible that this knife could be convex ground?--Thanx--KV

Wouldn't surprise me. Since many knives' profiles are ground on belts anyway, a tiny bit of slack in the belt would do it; some might be deliberate, but I'd bet a lot are incidental/accidental. A lot of blades will show a tiny bit of convexity anyway, if referenced against a true-flat surface; otherwise, most would never be noticed. Opinels, in particular, are frequently mistaken to be flat-ground, but have a very consistent and subtle convex to them; it's a beautiful grind.
