Just received this little knife from AG Russell. It's one of the thinnest, narrowest, lightest knives I own. It makes a 2 layer SAK look like a monster.

Is that a modern re-make??!!

Its in such mint shape, as well as being a beautifull trim little little knife!

I guess that would be considered quite the Gent's knife. A cool thing about buying one of those is from the gitgo you are buying an antique. :)

I bought one of those a couple of years ago from AG Russell. He's been selling warehouse find Bruckmann knives for many years - the sales staff told me he doesn't have many Bruckmanns remaining...

Here's my sleeveboard, with a watch fob Bruckmann for comparison:

Here are a few of my other Bruckmanns:

I sure wish you fellas would not open both blades at the same time. If you break the spring you will not be able to replace the knife. Those knives are becomeing recognized as treasures.

What is that pattern called A.G.?

Any knife with two blades on one spring should not have both blades half open at the same time. The springs are not designed for that kind of stress. If you want to display both blades then open one fully and the other half way or all the way.

These knives are 75-95 years old. The only way to break a spring is to abuse it. Why do that on a knife that cannot be replaced?

Since they're so common and inexpensive on eBay, I never really thought about it. And I've never had a spring break before. But you're correct, no photo/scan is worth a broken knife.
