As the moderator, I have decided to ban Bruiselee. His continuing insubordination and lack of proper respect for authority wil not be tolerated any longer. I had hope it would not come to this, but he just kept "pushing the envelope" with his "humor," which I personally did not find very humorous.

The First amendment does not guarantee anyone the right to say something that might offend someone. We cannot just throw away common sense.
 
That's too bad, but I completely understand and support your decision, Dam.
Bruise has been a pain in the ass lately.
 
Never one to go against a modulators decision, I'd like to speak up for Bruise and say that --In your infinite wisdom,charity,mercy, and compassion, and with the appropriate obsequious groveling by Bruise-- that he be "once again" spared the humilation of being banned and be given counseling by the Cantina's Head Psychologist known affectionately as Bill the Cat..

If Bill is otherwise engaged, possibly a committee could be formed --say-- similar to the 911 commission chaired by the esteemed mediator/administrator "Rusty" with the charter to study Bruise's transgressions and report back at a future date.
 
I can't believe you would consider banning the man who created the HI Tomahawk (with optional blood splatter shield).
 
He's been a nuisance lately... It's a wonder why he wasn't banned a long time ago; his humor does NOT have a place in this type of forum. You're off to a good start, Dam, but there are others equally deserving of banishment. Maybe Rusty will have you reinstated officially after hearing about this just and timely decision. ;)

I concur whole-heartedly with Moff8. surely even you, Dam, must recall the wonderous innovations that Bruise has brought to the Cantina. Does the Carboard Sheath ring a bell? How about Bruise's Cylindrical Metallic Vertical Khuk Kaddy with opional built in tote-along handle? (a.k.a. Khuks in a bucket) Who among us could have come up with that? :) Long live the Bruise.

Having had invented brilliant and innovative khukuries & accessories does not make up for his childish humor. This is a SERIOUS forum afterall! :grumpy:
Perhaps he can instead be "selectively banned", allowing for his inventions, but not his attempts at humor.

Ok, DrDan. I can see your point. Even if Bruise is a mad genius, he is still mad. After reading the posts, i have to agree that this is strictly a serious forum about serious issues. A chortle or a guffaw?? Ney! If i wanted laughter i would visit the political forums for that. What a bunch of jokesters they are:) Not deadly serious like us;)

People may have found this funny and whatnot, but little good will come from posts like this, by someone that people will confuse with the real Dan. Think me a prude if you will, this is just my opinion.

er...what about the tarnishment of poor, innocent, loveable BruiseLee's name? The tarnerosity attaching to him could lead to scarring on his psyche, an alienation from society, an estrangement from the mores of his culture, and perhaps an antagonism to the world at large. He may have to go back to his life with his imaginary friends!

Please, Gentle People of the Cantina, buff the tarnishment off BruiseLee! Let him feel that his name shines brilliantly in the sun of the social approval so essential to a healthy self-esteem! Do not cast him aside, but rather celebrate his idiosyncratic behaviors as a symbol of the true nature of genius !!! I beseech you!!! Free BRUISE !!!
