I own couple Mora and Helle knives, but have no experience with other brands stated above.Any experiences and thoughts are welcome as I like all of their designs, but am not sure of pros, and cons of each brand name.Which one is best quality out of these brands, which one performs best and best value for money!

If you haven't looked at these threads yet, there is lots of pictures and information. If you still have some questions, you could PM or email some of the guys that have the knives you're interested in and they could help some more. Good luck!

Thanx for threads,I am getting Veijo Kapyla hunting puukko, made from silver steel, this is the syle of knife I always wanted!

Been collecting, crafting, using Scandis for years. My ranking would be: Roselli, Enzo, Ahti, Helle, Brusletto, Karasundo, Mora, Marttiini.

Käpyl no longer works at Kainuun Puukko due to health problems. The company is currently own and run by Marko Lindelä.

Among the brands you mentioned that I have direct experience with, Ahti and Roselli offers the best value for money.

I have one Brusletto, it is an excellent small pukko. It holds an edge well and the fit/finish is superb for the price.

I have 4 Mora's they are excellent knives for the price point but like you Lone star no experience with any of the others

Much like the "which folding saw" threads, you will see each and every brand lauded.

I can't believe I'm writing this, but for a production level scandi knife it's hard to beat the laminated steel blades in certain Moras. You can do better of course, but you'd have to go custom. Moras are wanting in the fit and finish department, but the blades are very good.

The weakness lies in the provided sheaths. They're rubbish compared to the lined leather danglers you'll find on something like an Ahti. Mora sheaths are less comfortable than a dangler design, but even more damning, they are less secure.

i have at least one knife from each of those brands, and i would rank them excatly same as old pukkophile Rich ;)

Thanx guys,I have couple Helles and Moras, but really like higher grinds on my knives, more for cutting and slicing.I might be getting Roselli Hunter in Carbon steel, wanted it for long time and will make the grind little higher on my belt sander.Ps.Anyone with Roselli knives, do their carbon steel blades hold edge longer than Helles laminated steel?I love this laminated steel, easy to sharpen, yet holds edge well!
