Just finished this small batch of Brut de Forge Kwaikens.

All three are forged, and differentially hardened W2. I left the natural forged texture on the flats of the lower two, but added some extra texture to the top one. All are around 7" long.

Thanks for looking!

These are sweeeeet!!

Those are so beautiful in their simplicity. That ever-so-subtle sori is just sublime

Love 'em! Hard to get a much better profile that that for a kwaiken! The two natural forge finish ones really show a good level of forging skill... at least to me. ;)

BTW, congrats on the FULL 6 page article in the Nov. 2016 issue of KNIVES magazine! It happens to be the first time I've ever bought a "knife" magazine of any sort (apart from catalogs in the mail etc.), as no store around here seems to sell any, but I happened to get lucky at walmart this time lol.

I also agree with Matt, you are definitely among my favorite bladesmiths. :)

The crescent moon in an October sky is envious of these shapely beauties.
Exceptional

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like them! They're a lot of fun to make.

Proving once again why you're one of my favorite makers.

Cheers Matt! That means a great deal to me.

Thanks Paul!

I was very pleased with the article (to say the least).

My favorite things to look at (knives, custom cars, what have you) are the ones that cram tons of subtle details into a relatively simple package. The details that you don't notice all at once, but instead slowly trickle in the more time you spend looking are always the best.

They're just curved steel bars, sharpened on one end, yet you made them into such works of art.
