I found myself out in the shop yesterday afternoon and I got hit with a surge of energy. Since I don't golf and the fishing hasn't been any good I decided to lite up the forge. I felt like using some unusual steel and located some 1959 Nash/Metro leaf springs I'd had for awhile. I'm going to leave this blade forge finished and hope to finish it in the next couple days. I finished up the other knife yesterday. The blade was forged out of 5160 and has been grinder enhanced and hand rubbed down to 2000 grit and then etched. The blade is just over 7", wrought iron fittings and sambar stag for the handle. Its just under 1 foot long and it weights 10oz.

It's a charmer. It looks neat and slick
Thanks for showing it

Btw, does it has a convex grind or a flat one Ray?

mohd, All my work is convex ground. Some call the grind I do an apple seed grind. You might be able to tell by the forging that it is somewhat of a convex from the way I hammer.

I love that finished knife. Really interested to see how the unfinished blade will look in the end with the forging marks left in.
