Brute on Bay

While a BK1 is one of my Becker grails (along with a BK6), this one on the Bay if too far gone for me; I prefer mint in box. But if your willing to correct someone else project, it could be a real deal.

Yeah, it was bought HazeGray just after I posted. It was a little rough.

It was $95, worth a shot. Looks like someone did some polishing and grinding on it. Seems functional, which is all that matters in the end to me, but it will need some work - there appears to be some pitting and rust.

ETA: I also already have a Camillus grip - I think that is what came with the BK12, right?

That's what I thought. Clean it up and use the hell out of it. Really can't go wrong.

I'd just beat it up as is, even looks like it's got a decent edge on it.

If the pits aren't rust I will, but if it looks like rust I'll work on it to remove it as best as possible. Other than that, it's a user!

That is a nice score. Plus it looks like the previous owner actually re-profiled the edge to something more functional. As for the grips, yeah....Camillus' are a little thicker (BK12 are a little thicker than Ka-Bar, a little thinner than older Cam scales, I think) but any BK&T scales should fit on it. Although if yer gonna use it, I'd just leave the ones on that came with; they look reasonably well done.
