I received the Becker in the mail and love this knife. What a knife! This is one I hope comes back. This package may have gotten wet between New York and Washington state. I have cleaned it up and conditioned the sheath so no real damage was done.in the pic you will see paper stuck to the sheath. I thought it was paint at first but it came right off. I will be keeping an eye out for one of these.

Sorry Makael it grabbed the Taste of wood after the Pants on Justine

Please give it some Love as Justine needs wood so give it to her, hard, soft, she loves wood gotta give her of what she needs and deserves

Her Last wood it was some soft maple so get her something Hard, Thanks Again

A heads up would have been good,;) I have no idea how long the Brute has been sitting in my Apt mail room. Probably not more than a week but would have been good to know it was on its way.

Anyhoo, Woohoo! What a great knife and new pants it has for it! Very nice work on the sheath Makael. Will get some pics up later.

Can probably get out and stuff her full of wood soon enough. Its going to be carried whenever I can.

Thanks for doing this Nuto! :thumbup:First impressions of it are great. Never had my hands on one. Wish I would have got another 20 in hopes someone would have traded me a brute for a 20.

No Problem Ulf as always look to share, sorry about the lack of heads up but glad you got in time for your month will send next in line info towards the end of the month and enjoy the Brute

Justine Ate well today. Lots more photos, not so much 4G left. Will post the rest later.

Gotta say, Brutes a impressive BK. Hate the scales on here though. Blade shape is unique and useable. Can't really say I'd take any other BK chopper over a Brute. If can get some extra funds soon will try to get Makael to make a BK20 sheath for me cause this dangler is SICK!

Somebody needs to Fisk that soon

I may have to put a few of those sheaths together.

Think a little more than a Few
Thanks again Bud the 23's in, 1 heading your way in am so you got weekend off,
Again i am NY you west of here
will be in touch as a little help needed if you do not mind helping out,
Oh yea heads up another Brute heading your way

As much as I Love the Brute
Makael has done something I am not sure he understands as the Dangler looks Perfect maybe wrong but I don't think so

Hey Congrats on the grab,
and Thanks for giving her what she needs as I have yet to meet a Becker that does not love wood
Agreed ok lets move on
Any Idea on your Mod Ulf as I know you wanna
Just remember its the 9th and only leaves you another 20 days as want all possessors to have for a full month so get busy with your thoughts and thanks for sharing the chosen 1 with us all

Only thing would mod is MAYBE get it reground. But that might compromise it's strength. Really, I think it's a great knife and don't no why many people speak poorly of it. Think its a much better/useable knife than the 2 for example(a modded clip point 2 excluded)The scales are not the same underneath as new Beckers and they are loose/move around even when screws are tight. Different structure underneath as sure you know. Think it chops and cuts fine. Think many are to picky or are to used to doing "ninja" chit like slicing through multiple water bottles and want everything to slice like a MO fugga. Those dont make good choppers, well they do until they break, know some day my 9 will break on me, if Kabar didnt have the warranty they do would have already gotten rid of already, espeaically after getting the BK20. Granted the grind is kinda weird on Brute. It's unique though. Looks kinda like gladiator sword which kinda dig. It's great for batoning. Chops well as is. Cuts well enough for whatever "food" stuff one has in mind, skinning. Like it alot. Would be a shame to Mod imo since out of production.

Why do new BKs have coating that causes so much friction when cutting? Why not stick to the old smooth coating, can't tell much in durability between the two. In fact think the rough coating is less durable than the smooth. At least it seems that way on some. Hate the rough coatings.

Hear you Brother and by your use of Justine understand all you sayin
You are a member of the over 200lb club is my guess as am I that+
Of all my Beckers if I am swinging for compression not another better
Do as you will as it is only 1 of less than 100 as per designer, and yes I have a NIB as Backup so no worries
Just wanted to share wit you all and see what u all think ohf the
Brute
Great Pics and that sheath

Makael you out did yourself and Thanks Again

Cool. Much appreciate you doing this pass around man. As much as people jack up the prices of these don't know if I would have ever got my hands on one. And as much as people talk down about it too never thought it would be as good as it is. Really don't belive Brute is bad knife. Exact opposite. Good as any other BK imo. Ranks with any other or better.

Considering you are playing around with a Blackjack Brute it may have had a better grind done on it than the Camillus Brute which is what I think most people have tried. Camillus put some really obtuse unusable grind on a couple of Beckers. My Camillus Brute has been reground to a zero convex and it is tough as nails. Since I got it I've beaten it through some really hard wood and that edge is just super tough.

Very Astute Tobi,
Grinds on the Blackjacks so much more useful and functional as Ulf will and has attested
The camillus Brute went with a more obtuse grind, great idea they just missed the mark IMO
A little Fisking to all Brute's needed IMO
Nice Score on your new Brute
