I just received my CASE 6208 splitback half whittler and it's awesome.

The bone is nice, the overall fit and finish is pretty excellent and the walk & talk is fair.
The main blade is about a 5 and the secondary is probably about a 6-1/2.

A big thanks to all involved in that giveaway.

I realized had some of my dad's scout stuff in a drawer, and missed an opportunity so I went ahead and took another picture.

I had thought about giving this knife to my dad as he was a scout after all, but he doesn't really like small knives loose in pocket. His smallest which he carries everyday is a Vic tinker and he carries it in a leather belt sheath I gave him.

On the sluggish W&T.. I have learned thru the yrs that every new CASE knife I get to clean and lube the joints.. Just got a new Mini-Trapper last week that I literally had to push the blades closed.. After cleaning/lubing all was fine.. Just a thought..:D John

Will see.
Not sure it needs anything as my Soddy jr didn't, but it might.

I may not be good with the Pull weight numbers.

Thinking about it now the secondary has a bit of a hard pull so I'd probably actually put it around a 7 and the main around a 6.
It's definitely not a week pull, my Victorinox pocket pal is a bit snappier for it's very similar pull weight so maybe it does need a good flushing.

Especially if the pull is that hard, I would guess flushing the joints will help a lot with the blade action. Nice knife!

The secondary is a little hard to pull for it's size.
I did flush it with some mineral oil and didn't see much come out.
I'd say the joints we're pretty clean overall.
The pull on the main blade is fine.

I've been looking at the pictures of your knife and my thought was 'Case finally has their modern jigging and red dye done right'- full overall coverage with nice, even color. A few years back their knives were a mottled white on the edges and sides of most colors but especially the red. I have that model Case - it is a perfect EDC knife for dress slack carry. OH
