Sorry for the poor pic, but I just tossed it in the scanner.

This is my first hollow grind with my new grinder. The handle s horrible -- used paper micarta, and had a blemish so thought I'd experiment. Didn't turn out too good-looking in my book.

The whole knife is only 7 1/4 long, with a 4-inch blade of 0-1.

Ok, time for brutal honesty. :) I like the design, but you have way too much blade for the handle length IMHO. If that were mine, I would reshape and shorten the blade a little, and you would have a perfect neck knife. Nice grinds though. I haven't even tried a hollow grind yet. :)
 
I can take the honesty (crying softly to self). I was going for a small concealable, and hoping for a "palmable" handle. :D

Glad you're not too mad at me for being honest. Wouldn't want you to Beeatch slap me at the Blade show! :D Make sure you bring it; I want to see it up close. :)
 
Big blade... little handle...

I think I would name it

"The Compensator" - the knife for guys with tiny hands.;)

i like the look of it, but i would have to feel it to really see what i think bout the handle... but all in all GOOD JOB
 
It's a strange little knife. My friend is 6'7" and I thought the handle would be too small for his hands. He said he liked the handle size a lot. Of course, he might have just been saying that to make me feel better. :D
 
Actually guys, IMHO the handle length looks good. Might be an optical illusion because of where the handle scales meet the finger cut out? I also think that the reason it might look "off" to you guys (and me), is that the handle is to thin for the blade width, OOOOORRR, or the blade width is to wide for the handle. Print out a pic of the knife and black out with a marker some of the spine of the blade and take a look at it again. Corse I could be toatally wrong too!:confused:
Anyway nice looking blade.
 
I like the blade shape alot and was thinking about buying it, when I first looked at it, but I am in the market for something bigger. Send me a pm if you are interested in making a bigger one. Thanks!
 
Thanks for the kind works -- I tried to PM you, but it said I couldn't. I had planned on making a bigger one, just because I love the blade shape and think it would make a great-looking large fighter.
