Was recently drooling over Schrade's SCH503 series of lockback folders, except that the ginormous 3.5" blade length was a no-go. Out of curiosity, I sent an email to BTI Tools asking they had any plans to make a smaller version of the 503 with a blade length of approximately 2.5" to 3".
Their response? "We have no plans to introduce a smaller version of this but thank you for your suggestion"
I wonder if there is a reason for manufacturers to not release smaller versions of their knives?
