During which years was the "Bubba Claus" 507SC (LB-7 type) offered with the correct blade inscription for the year? As in "Merry Christmas XXXX" on one line (XXXX being the year) and "Have You Been Naughty Or Nice". I have only seen xmas 2000 and was wondering if there were other years too. Thanks! -Dave

I have the info on Bubba Claus somewhere..
Hang in there.
2002 SMKW ad.
Looks like the knife was made available for Christmas 2000.

Got a few additional pieces of paperwork here. One's a copy of the etch mock-up, the other's the artwork for the scrim. Note the tattoo, I'm not sure if it actually shows up clear on the knife or not. (I actually prefer the plain black look over the colored version):

You guys rock! That's great info. I find this knife to be a good chuckle every time i see it and the "sleigh" joke on the ad just adds to it. Thanks again. Big time! -Dave

Looks like Bubba Claus is on one of the white LB7 frames. The mock up Eric provided says the intended knife is a SC507, but the actual pic there is a SCHRADE+ USA LTD on the blade. Chances are you might find either version.

Good info guys.

The "Bubba"s I have seen are the off-white not pure white colour or I would have immediately guessed my virgin white LB-7 was a unscrimmed "Bubba". All the "Bubba" examples I have seen show 507SC stamping but who knows...

On that ad it says its from 2001 so they wouldn't have been advertising a knife in 2001 with last Christmas (2000) on it unless it was leftovers only. People reading ad would want it to say Merry Christmas 2001 and I'm thinking that this implies it was available those two years at least. Larry, do you have one that reads 2002 on blade? I was looking at your collection again but that particular picture kinda fuzzy. Thanks

Thanks to both of you. It was Larry303's collection showing his "Bubba" that I was referring to but thanks lrv for your efforts as well on this one. It appears now that they were only available for "Merry Christmas 2000". It must have been the leftovers that SMKW were listing in 2001. I just bought a mint one of these to add to my Bear Paw collection. Any other examples of humorous scrims come to mind? Maybe I can end up with a little display of Schrade "funny knives" if I can find a couple others that make me chuckle.
