Buck 016 Lux Pro

Nope, new one on me. I expect if it was part of the Tops collaboration, it would have thier name on it.

It's more than likely a new offering that will show up in the 2011 catalog when it comes out. It looks a little like a restyled Nobleman.

Ordered mine from knifecenter.com; I'll let you know what they say about a ship date when I find out.

The only think I'm not excited about with this knife is the recurve (concave) at the base of the blade....maybe I'll try to reshape an old sharpening stone to match that.

Made in the USA!

016 Lux Pro is a domestic made gentelman framelock. S30V Blade, Titanium coated blade, handle, belt clip, and spacers. Inlays are carbon fiber. Flipper for one handed opening. Here are a few pics of the 016

I like what I see of it!

Going to be hard to bump the Vantage or CSAR from my pocket though. I still have a BuckLite Max, Sirius and a Paradigm that need some carry time :D

Wonder what the sigificance of the asterik after the Bos s30v is? I figger it means Paul didnt actually ht it.

Also my 1st look at the '11 date stamp in real life-welcome back Dot:D

The asteriks is because this is a knife from the first run. Has nothing to do with the Heat Treat.

Somebody, make this a sticky at the top! It would head off all the speculation a few years down the road when this thread is long forgotten. ;)

I cant wait till they are available, Things listed in the '11 year catalog should be available before the end of the year or they should call it a '12 production...

I got the new Smoky Mountain Knifeworks catalog in today and they are available there.

Both the flipper and thumb studs work well.

First impressions: The Lux is impressive -- it's well-made and thin and light for pocket EDCing.
