Buck 100 Series Pro knives Discontinued?

Currently (February 2025), Buck no longer is listing for sale any of the 100 Pro series knives, S35VN blade with the olive colored Micarta handle. Is this due to the uncertain future availability of the Crucible S35 steel? What gives?

I think the short answer is no. Buck did not discontinue the 100 series Pro knives in S35VN steel due to potential supply issues. There is a currently 11 page thread with very knowledgeable people commenting that there will not be supply issues for any of the steels that Crucible made.

Looks like Buck has the 119 Pro w/micarta and S3VN on sale for a great price. I snagged one to go with my 103/105 combo.

I think they have the 102, 103, 105 & 117 Brahma marked down as well!

Wish that I could swing a 102 and 117!

The 100 series Pro line was discontinued in the 2025 catalog to make room for new Pro and Elite models of hunting knives. There is a limit on how many different SKU's we can produce and keep in stock. A couple of years ago we needed to produce over 100,000 unique parts to support the SKU's offered to dealers, retail and special builds.

Well, as of today 4/16/25, I see the 100 series Pro line S35VN green micarta handle knives are back up on the Buck website and are on sale. Included are the 102 Woodsman, 103 Skinner, 105 Pathfinder, 117 Brahma, 119 Special, and 120 General.
