custom brass knife holder or sheath for buck 101 with black leather strap with snap and belt loop. Was this factory piece from buck?

Walley, Welcome. There is items amiss with your question. I'll be glad to give you information but I've not heard or seen a 'brass knife holder'? Or brass sheath. Plus, Buck's model 101 was a sharpening stone which I have in my collection?? Could you post a picture of it? DM

The above info. is from Buck's Incorporation date 1962. Knives earlier than this from the 50's began with model numbers 102 ect.. There could have been a model 101 in those. Describe the handle material. DM

That is not a factory piece. Buck never made anything even close to that.

Thanks for getting my pictures on plus the help with the knife. Its very well made must have been custom made came for the last owner.

Okay, I give up. What is it? At first I thought it was a one hand opener of some sort, but now I do not know what it is.

Walleye,

Do you know which version your 110 is? I'm guessing 4th Version, Variation 2 or a 5th Version. Is there any sort of padding to prevent excessive wear or scratching? As to what it is, I have a couple of sarcastic suggestions. Since many people think the 110 doesn't have enough heft, the holder is to add extra weight for carrying. Alternatively, the holder might be used as a grappling hook or hanger. I agree with GoJoJo, how about some more photos.

That's pretty cool. Looks well made. I'd buy one for a conversation piece and the fact that I like brass.

The blade has to be held open by a pin or something and when you take the knife out the pin fully extends the blade. I have a one armed bandit sheath and that is how it works.
