Hey B-man...
That's a freebie that was thrown in with the 120. I posted it a few weeks ago with an explanation and failed to do so today. Just wanted to show another knock off and that the vendor was cool to throw it in. It's not so bad actually.
In fact, I was thinking of sending it to you as a consolation prize for "winning" that 450.

thanks goose i was wondering the serrations looked pretty small for a buck
as for sending it to me thanks for the offer but you should use it yourself and let us know how it stands up nice of them to throw it in
a while back evil eye earl picked up a knife for me well ok 2 actually and sent them up here and when i opened the box he had sent a gift a 525 texas its just like christmas to open a parcel and there is more there than you expected thanks again ron

Cool beans Ron. Just wanted to let ya know I was thinking of ya. Yeah, the peeps here are first rate. Getting all poodle eyed...

SorenRaveling, I don't know what info on the 102 you are looking for...if ya do a search on 102 or Woodsman there are several threads.

As for me, I like it for light kitchen work like cutting up those damn fujis !!!

I Have The 102. Great Knife. Its My Regular Hunting Knife For Deer. Its Not Too Small Like Some Think. Looks Are Deceiving.

I like mine too. I use it for birds so I carry it for waterfowl and grouse. I agree it's not too small for deer but I'd rather use my custom St.Amour with the mastodon scales.

I used to have one. I used it for waterfowl, grouse, and deer.
Worked well for all.

The 102 is popular, and has been around for quite a while. This is a pre-factory Group Ten from the late 1950's

How About The 105 With Cocobola, Ever Heard Of One?

Just recently I have, it wasn't a factory cataloged knife, but some have said they are the BP (bass pro) knife, I always thought the Bass Pro knives were rosewood though.

How About The 105 With Cocobola, Ever Heard Of One?

The only catalog cocobola knives were the 102, 103, and 119. The 103 has been discontinued...
There have been others as special runs for retailers etc though. There have also been other models with the cocobola handles but none cataloged in the 100 series of knives. Sorry I lied the 191BR... There may be others... I should have worded that differently, there were no others in the "original" 100 series of knives cataloged in cocobola :D

I just bought a new 102 and am anxiously awaiting it's arrival, I went with the standard black handle and aluminum caps, I plan to use the knife as part of my Deer, and Elk hunting. I just couldn't see paying extra for the Cocobola handle as a user.

The balance between the two is noticable...well at least between the 109BR and 120BR compared to their dark/alum brothers. So that may play into the decision as well along with the coin.
