Hi

I just got hold of a BUCK 103 that has two lines stamped on the blade that read BUCK on one line, and just below that, USA, in much smaller letters.

The name and number are read when holding the knife with the blade pointed down. This also has a pin through the butt and tang, (I wonder if this is where the saying "a pain in the butt" came from?)

The knife looks like it has never been carried or used - in mint condition.

any idea of when it was made, or what it could be worth?

Thanks - Richard

hi, with the usa on it it was made after '68. i dont kow when they started to put the modle no. on the 103 as i dont collect them. i have seen the older 103's bring about 25$ or so on ebay, maby more with the sheath. not a big collector following on thoes like the 110.

To the best of my knowledge the two line inverted stamp was used from 1968 to 1971. You can watch what others go for on eBay to get an idea of it's value.
