I have got a call into buck, but have not heard anything back yet. So thought I would reach out and see if anyone out there knows of this knife being made in the Years between 1967 and 72? Because the stamp indicates that was when it was made. Or could it be a custom made piece by individual? Thanks for any help you can give!20240813_190605.jpg20240813_190730.jpg

You should ask the experts in the Buck subforum here on BF's to be certain, but from what I can see I would say that it was not done by Buck at the factory.
The guard fitment doesn't look as good as Buck factory work to me.
I'm far from an expert and there could have been stuff like this going on that early, but I will say that all the unique factory customs I've seen were done late 70'+ during and after the original script tang stamp custom shop years.

Okay thanks so much for all your help. I had never even thought of it being custom by an individual. Until I was trying to sell it on eBay and someone asked me if it was original.

Leroy Remer possibly......He is a custom maker that worked for Buck for many years up until 1991.

Here's an Ebay pic of a similar Buck by Remer
