I have got a call into buck, but have not heard anything back yet. So thought I would reach out and see if anyone out there knows of this knife being made in the Years between 1967 and 72? Because the stamp indicates that was when it was made. Or could it be a custom made piece by individual? Thanks for any help you can give!20240813_190605.jpg20240813_190730.jpg

Well I found one on eBay that has the original box and it's made just like this with the file work and everything but it's a 2008 model. But it has this Gray colored glue oozing out you can see between the antler handle in the guard, and it's the same color gray as the gray you can see on my guard just below the tang stamp and the turquoise so, It just makes me wonder? Will post a close up in a few of each knife where the gray glue is!

What does the original box say? It could be the original box before the modifications.

My gut tells me it is not factory.

It is a good looking knife either way. I like the file work and the turquoise. Maybe Buck Knives Inc. Buck Knives Inc. can offer some insight.

It doesn't look like our typical filework and there is a gap between the guard and blade shoulder. Someone might have deliberately removed the handle or had a custom handle done for a damaged one. Good looking skinner either way.
