Buck 103

Nice one. :)
I've always liked he 103, but could never afford one.

Like a Cinelli bicycle, I've never seen a used one for sale.
 
Both of those are a nice find. Your 103 was mfg. in that configuration from 1972-80. DM

thanks for the date help i figured it was 70's vintage.

this knife is thick. the blade seems much thicker than any of my other bucks.

the old edge style, so it could cut through a bolt....:).

great knife and piece of Buck history.
 
The spine is 3/16" and the semi-hollow grind is thick as well. This expresses the style of that era. Here is a drawing of grind cross sections. 'B' is the grind on your 103. DM
