Hey, doe's anyone use the 104 for deer hunting.
Was wanting to know if the hand grip is a little
small for the hand or not.
Thanks
Jeff

The 104 is a twin set consisting of 2 knives, a 102 woodsman and a 103 skinner. That's a combo made for deer hunting:)

Jeff,
I guess it depends on your hands. I love the 103 for skinning out deer. I use one from the 1960's for nostalgic reasons and the handles on those are even a little smaller than the 103 of today.

Thanks for your reply Joe. I think that I will bu:thumbup: y one and see
for myself.I like the looks of it and the feal. But did not know
but one person who has one , and he quit hunting.
thanks
Jeff

Just browsing through the BCCI catalogs, and noticed a "Buck 104 Fighter" in the 1957 catalog...

No. 104 Fighter. As the name indicated it is designed for fighting and is equipped with a double edge point. Blood grooves, hand protection hilt. Blade 6 3/4" long, 1" wide. Also designed for use as a number one heavy camp knife or hunting knife for those sportsmen who demand a heavier knife. Price $18.00

Interestingly, it closely resembles the 119 Special, but with a somewhat narrower blade. Seems to have only a single thickness guard - no spacers; and no spacers at pommel either.

Nice looking knife, no pic, only an illustration.

Another eBay "My Searches" candidate... :D

I love the 103 for skinning out deer!!! I think the handle shape and size is perfect for a skinner!!!! You dont really want a big clumbsy knife/handle for skinning anyway!!!!! Its one of my favorites! :D
(not that there is any Buck knife I dont like!) :D
