Just to a used 105 and there is a plastic liner in the sheath. It rattles and does not fit tight. Is there a solution to this? I would hate to walk aound hunting with this thing, it would rattle like no tomorrow.

Take out the plastic liner? :D Buy an older sheath? Buy a different sheath?
I hope I helped! I guess you could also try wet forming the sheath to tighten it up (pinch it closer to the sides of the blade?) that plastic liner should also bend and form with a little heat maybe? Let us know if anything works ;)

Might try a felt pad between the liner and leather. That plastic insert will keep you from slicing a sharp blade through the leather. Maybe.

You might also try removing the liner, coating it with some silicone calk and re-inserting it into the leather sheath. The calk should both adhere the liner to the sheath as well as filling up the gap between the two. However, it is unclear to me how the plastic liner "rattles" against the leather; are you sure it is not the blade itself rattling against the liner? Whatever it is, I'm sure it's a nuisance. Good luck with it.

I think that is the problem. I have one like that as well, but lucky for me I dont carry the fixed blade, I just use that lastly to butcher ;)

My 110 is nice, quiet and snug in her horizontal sheath.

I'd just glue a piece of cork tape on each side and maybe put some in the bottom for the tip. I think that would work as well as anything. I had that problem with my big sky and that's what I did. It worked for me.

I definetely would not toss the plastic insert. It does serve an important function. I have used adhesive felt pads before and they did the trick. I never thought of cork tape though, that sounds even better!
If you send me an email, I'll send you a couple of the felt pads.

Felt pads would be fantastic. Thanks

Not sure how big of an operation, but I have a 110 up there for repair(loose blade-should arrive today) you can put the felt in that box to save a stamp :) if you want.
