Buck 107

I was looking at some of my 107's and when I think of the Buck 107 the first thing that comes to my mind is micarta handle, well I just noticed for the first time that one of them has a wood handle.

My question is how rare is the wood handled 107 ? all i have ever seen were micarta handled ones.

Hello Tom,
I looked through the old catalogs and in 1983 the 107 had "Buckarta" handles and the nickle silver guard. In 1984 it is shown with a black birchwood handle and no guard but is described as still having a micarta handle. I would believe the picture though, not the description.
The last catalog we see it in is from 1991. So thats 8 years of production. I checked and it looks like we did roughly 20K during that time. You would think that we would see a lot more for sale with those numbers?
