I've been wanting one for years, from back when you had to have one converted 3rd party, and looking seriously lately at buying one. Inevitably it comes down to 110 vs 112 and the various options. Anyone have any general opinions on either one from personal experience? Reliability better with one or the other? Any recent observations on craftsmanship or whatever? I'm leaning towards a 112 as I like to pocket carry. Any comments of these opening easier or tougher than anything else in your pocket? I'm not aftraid of autos in my pocket, but some do go off easier? Anyone thing the Pro/Elite Nickel/S30V versions are worth the money? I do really like S30V. Anyhow, just looking for opinions or general thoughts on these. Theres a vendor with exclusive finger grooved models available, so it would be one of those variations with grooves for sure.

Thanks!

My 112's snap open quite nicely.
My 110's open.
😉
I wouldn't carry either one of them in my pocket.
A open top slip sheath goes great with these.

The finger grooves look great on a 110.
I've seen them here, but got cheap and didn't grab one.

If I were to only buy one, I'd get the 112 Pro. Nickel is easier to live with IMO.

I have carried the 112 in my pocket for several years. No issues. The only other thing in my pocket with it is my handkerchief. I don’t go thru life like a pinball running into things, either.

The 110 is a classic for a reason, carry it with the provided sheath. Brass patinas and gives character. The factory autos are better than most conversions I've run across.

I carry my 112 auto in my right front pocket or my watch pocket without incident. I keep the button facing inward, against my leg. In that orientation, I intentionally pressed against it to try to engage the button and the blade never opened.

But, you know, nothing wrong with the 110, either.

I reached out and apparently the grooved models start out as the standard Buck autos from Buck, and then the vendor adds the grooves in their custom shop. Great vendor, but just wanted to clarify these aren't being built by Buck as grooved, or with special steels, and then being distributed as exclusives. They are customs.

I read your earlier posts about grooved autos and thought Hmmm. I’m glad you clarified by a vender addition IMG_5030.jpegIMG_6212.jpeg
