Hi guys,
I live in the Netherlands and use my Buck 110 a lot. It is from 2017 and has Diamondwood.
I also own a 112 which has Ebonywood.
Now, a week ago I found a very beautiful Buck 110 from 1993 at a garage sale. I bought it for €20,- (=$22)..
But I am not sure what kinda wood this is.
Can anyone help me on this?

The 110 on the right is the one from 1993.

I have a 110 from 1993 and the wood looks to be the same. I have no idea what it is but I bought it off the shelf of a sporting goods store so it most likely nothing special.

In 1990 Buck Knives stopped using genuine ebony wood on its 110 knives due to federal regulations. In 2019 Buck had partnered with Taylor Guitars to use sustainable methods to keep a steady supply of genuine Ebony wood products.
So more than likely your model of Buck knives uses their Dymond wood which is a resin treated wood laminate. Unless it is one of the custom made Bucks. They do offer custom made knives through their website too! I hope this answers your questions!
