Hi All,

Any suggestion on good non-leather sheath for the Buck 110? Preferably made from Nylon, Canvas or alike. Thanks!

Why......in the name of all that is Holy.....would you want a non-leather sheath?

Think very, very carefully....you run the risk of the most humiliating experience of your life if you give the wrong answer.

So Tok, is there something wrong with Buck's nylon sheath that they offer? It looks stout enough to me.

I have used a nylon sheath for a large folder and find nothing embarrassing about it. I've also used leather and have not been embarrassed by that either. It's whatever feels good to you with that particular folder for that particular activity.

I use a SPEC-OPS brand nylon sheath with my 110. It's some what smaller than the leather 110 sheath and gives me the option of horizontal or vertical carry.

I don't want to give too much away. If it is a practical reason, that is what it is.

Sorry Steven, I'm still not tracking with you. I will wait for all to be revealed.

The Buck 110 and its leather sheath are a traditional item that do not deserve disrespect. Save the Kydex and nylon for tacticool folders with plastic handles. :D

One of the two biggies, Esav!

Well, I ordered a leather sheath for the 110 I bought last Fall that came with a nylon sheath because I just feel that brass and wood goes better with leather... but I have to say that the nylon belt case it came with is very well made and more compact than the leather one.

Ok, ok, leather is all good is everything :) so it just came down to me as a personal preference. I do like the charm of the stock leather sheath of the 110 but as an user I like the feel of nylon/canvas better as they seems to be more maintainence free and stand better in wet weather and such. The spec-op one's pretty good, but does anyone know any model out there that has no snap button? Prefer all Velcro closures, already know about Raine Inc's product but want to see if there is more selection out there.

hey tok, you might want to try the buck forum on this sight, very informative and friendly bunch over there, good luck.
