Buck 110 always comes back out...

So, i've had this buck 110 for years and years and I use it and carry it occassionally. But every once in a while i change up the EDC knives on my computer desk (where i keep them). Anyways, i always have the 110 out for a month or two, then put it away. But yet, it always comes back out. Normally i'll just want to see how much more i can dish out to it, or want to carry a sheath knife, or just want a classic to carry. But anyways, it always ends up coming out! Some knives i've had in my lockbox for years and years, yet this one only stays away for a month or so and then it's back out for a few months. Anyone else randomly pick their 110 up? I don't think the 110 is going off the market anytime soon.

I have mine in my drawer.

It is a knife I have had since I was a teen , had a new blade put on it some 4 years back.
I'll never part with it.

I think Buck 110 is good enough for the vast majority of us in this modern age. When you factor in sentimental value, then it's easy to see it making the rotation. I had a knockoff decades ago in Junior High, and if I still have it I would carry it once in a while for old time's sake. It's been used for all sorts of stuff, including carving the name of a sweetheart into a desk or two :D

When I was a kid the 110 was THE knife.....Didn't know or care about steels, never heard of G10 or Micarta.....just knew I needed a Buck. I asked for one for my 10th Birthday and I ended up with a 112  Carried that knife for about 6 years until I got a 110.....still have it....and the 112.

I already owned two 110s. Til now, i lost one of them, that was a pitty. Now I carry the 110 in my rucksack for foodmaking during service. I put it in a box for a couple of month. But it always get´s back for EDCing. I just love mine! It has the state of stability and it seems ot be undistroyable.
And I agree with some of you guys, when you think, it´ll be a classic for many more years. Here in germany is that kind of knife not as popular.

Well, that´s my thoughts...

Kind regards...

I carry one of mine from time to time. It just depends on what the day holds and what else I am carrying that day. True American classic!

I have never been without a 110. Usually other knives just supplement it.

I just can't see carrying around a knife without a pocket clip. It does look nice, though...

mine stays in my BOB, if you need a medium-large folder to beat on i couldnt think of anything better

A 110 is on my belt at least four days of the week (except in the office, when I have to be a little more discreet). The two favorites are an elk & nickel handled custom in BG-42, and a vintage 2-dot in 440C that looks like it just came out of the factory.

Every American should have a Buck 110, and a Bowie knife..
Just wish I had my dad's ole buck 110 from 1969..

:)

Two of my favorites as well. I also have a nice 2 Dot 112 that I am fond of.

I bought my 110 way back in 1971. It served fathfully for twenty years as my only EDC:)
In 1991, I picked up a newfangled Spyderco Endura with a funny looking hole in the blade:D and put the Buck aside. It is now on permanent display in my home. I pick it up from time to time and recall all the places I've been with it, all the times it bailed me out. It's one hellava sentimental knife to me.

I've accumulated many, many knives over the years. Of late, I've gone to a smaller is better philosophy for EDC, with a few exceptions depending on where I'll be that day.

I have been reading this forum a lot recently, and noticing the love for the 110. I've always wondered why I didn't own one. I had a 112 Bucklite for years that was my belt carry hunting knife. It field dressed a lot of deer, many belonging to other hunters with dull, inferior knives.

For the last 2 months I've been thinking "When are you gonna get your own 110?". Was at Walmart and saw one in a bubble pack with nylon sheath. $28 bucks!! Silly cheap. I've been playing with it since I got into the parking lot. Looking forward to a nice walk in the woods with it on the belt, and will be scouting around for some older ones.

Why'd I wait so long? What was I thinking?????

Father got me one a while ago. I carved, and carved and carved. It was in rough shape. I picked up a new one a couple years ago. At the moment, a nice leather sheath is being made by a long time friend for me. This is one knife every kid should have, next to a swiss army knife.

I have a 110 on each my tractors here on the ranch. All of them are at least 30 years old and still work as good as the day they were made.

Back in my youth, you didn't ask for a model 110...you just went to the hardware store and asked for a "Buck knife." The guys behind the counter knew what you meant. :)

The Buck 110 will always be the knife I think of when it comes to folding knives. It was one of the first knives I got when I was a kid, and I've had a 110 or 112 ever since.
