Please forgive the new guy, the answer is probably very common knowledge to most of you guys, but if I don't ask I won't learn.

I was given a Buck 110 by a very good person that is helping me out right now so I can use it hunting, etc. Folks like him are very hard to find these days.

Anyway, I noticed on the blade stamp it has an arrow, what does it mean or signify.

Thanks for your help!!

Which way does the arrow point? It signifies when the blade/knife was made.

BCCL has a chart with these dates. I'll post it again in a few - denied attachment privileges

I went to the gun show today and picked up a 110 with an inverted U - 1997. The bolsters need some work but other than that it is a like new knife and the blade has not been touched. It had an electric company advert on the blade.

Thank you! When the blade is open and locked the arrow is pointing down toward the bolster....
