Hello everyone! I'm new here and joined to see if I could get some help identifying a knife I acquired a couple of years ago. I traded for it and put it in a drawer. I pulled it out yesterday and decided to find out what it was. After searching for two days I'm stumped. The closest I can find is the S30V model and mine isn't marked as such. I can't figure out how to post pictures...the knife has burlap micata handles and brushed brass bolsters. It is marked with a 2018 date code.

Is this it?

Thanks for the speedy replies! That is 99% it except mine doesn't have the S30V steel blade or serial number. At least it isn't marked as such.

I'm just worried that if I send it to Buck for a SPA treatment they may keep it saying that it is counterfeit. Everything about the knife looks legit to me though. Including the box and sheath.

And the knife in the post above from eveled shows what appears to be a Buck 110 Auto with burlap micata but no pins! I'm so confused!

Matt thinks the knife is authentic, but also says that the black magnetic box that mine came with wasn't available in 2018, which is the date code on my blade. So weird!

CHARLES what do you think an Auto is? It is an automatic blade, released by a trigger-button. What was called a switchblade in the past.

Yes, I'm well aware of what an automatic knife is. I'm also aware that Buck 110 folders that aren't automatic typically have a spot on the blade to put your finger nail in to help with opening. Since the knife pictured didn't have it, I thought the button may have been on the other side. Possibly a left handed version.
