I have a yearning for a Buck 110 auto. I had a couple over the years, but Pennsylvania would not allow carry of them. Now that the law has changed, I really want to get one.

Problem is, I know that they come with a stock sheath with an insert6 to avoid accidental opening. Is it Ok to carry these in aftermarket sheaths?

I've only had my two auto's a short time, but I feel very confident carrying them in my open top sheath. Can't see it being a problem. I carry with the button to the inside.

FIFY. I have to say my 110 autos are the most satisfying knives to deploy. And they solve the "problem" of not being a one handed knife to open. (although if you're the least creative you can do it) My son has a few Benchmade autos and they about jump out of your hand when you hit the button. The Buck glides open with a firm, satisfying click.

Opening a standard 110 or 112 one handed is easy. Knife goes into the sheath pivot down, blade to the rear. As you draw the knife, you grab the blade between thumb and fingers. When the knife clears the sheath, a little pop of the wrist, and the heavy handle swings down and locks open. It works with a 500 Duke also, but you have to pop the wrist a bit harder, because the handle isn't as heavy.

O.B.

Yep. Although new ones for me take a little break in time and a little more pop
