Who in your opinion makes the best conversion for the 110 buck.I have seen several and was wondering if they were worth the money.thanks for the opinions.

The best company doesn't advertise and doesn't mark their work...but IMHO, get the oval buttoned double action conversion - it can be identified by the "notch" ground/EDM cut into the blade...They used to go for ~$135...

There's usually a bunch for sale on bladebid.com...only one right now...

I can't attest to their function, but I've seen a local dealer with one of those you mentioned tagged at $150. I only saw it in his display case, but the work looked like it was very well done.

Here's a pic of one I found on the Internet thingy...

All the cuts are done by EDM...Backspring rivet replaced with a barrel screw...Opens manually or by button...You can see the notch in the blade...Buttom barely impinges on the bolster...Some single-actions have the button extending about 3/16" into the bolster, and a hole in the blade instead of a notch...Or so I've read... ;)

This one has been in a drawer too long without cleaning...owner is probably a lazy SOB... :grumpy: Bolsters tarnished; fingerprints all over...Needs a good cleaning and some TLC... :p

I have three 110 conversions and one 112. All of them function very well as converted.
Depending on the scales and how bad you want one, you can pay as much as you want.
Mine all have the pushbutton as shown on the pic but mine all have like a drill hole instead of the notch. Spent way to much for the 112 from a Hells Angel in Sturgis, bought the 110 on the internet. Just for fun.

...That means all of your autos are of the "single-action" variety HOE...Opens only with a push of the button...The one that Trax posted a pic of is a "double-action"...It will open with the button or can be opened like a normal 110 or 112...I don't have either...Gonna have to keep my eyes open for a good one. I did find one at a flea market here in Florida but it was done so poorly and was so loose that I backed away from it like it was a skunk...LMAO...:eek::p

I have a conversion I picked up at the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot a couple years ago. I carried it for about a year before dropping it on concrete and breaking the end off of the blade. Does anybody know of someone who does the conversions who might be able to repair it for me by replacing the blade? The conversion was nicely done it it was my favorite edc before I broke the last 1/4 inch off of the blade.

Pretty much anybody here who has pressed the pins out of the bolsters can do it. You'd need a new blade, of course. (There are even some who have a BG-42 blade or two to swap in). You'd have to leave the original blade in place, to allow for duplicating the notch. Not a hard swap. The only problem would be if it was a single-action conversion, using the hole instead of the notch. I imagine you'll get email offers from manglers and quotes for doing it. You're not allowed to solicit sales or services in this forum. Good luck!

Check out the following link for Buck auto conversions; not sure if they do repairs. Good luck!!

Interesting...They all seem to be single-actions...(Notice the hole in blade; and the extent of the oval button encroachment into the bolster)... :)

Prices seem high for single-actions...

Just my $.02, of course... ;)
