Buck 110 blade bolster question

I am new to collecting knives and new to this site, so I am trying to learn. I recently bought a buck 110/ 2 dot and I noticed the blade bolster doesn’t look like other ones I’ve looked at. Has anybody seen this? It looks to be cut out or recessed on the edge of the bolster. I attached the pic.

I've never seen it before. It's certainly not normal wear, so some someone must have modified it for some unknown reason.

That's really odd looking. Never seen that before and I've seen a lot of 110s.

Well, thanks for the comment. I’m hoping I did not get screwed because if you look at the attached picture from a distance, you don’t see that. The knife hasn’t arrived yet. I just bought it today online.

Are you referring to the reflection on the bolster of a pot-style recessed light on the roof of the room in which the photo was taken?

Or are you referring to the sharper bolster edge of older 110 models?

yep, a reflection of can light in ceiling looks like.....

if ya look close ya can see the pivot pin above it in the proper spot.....weird spot is just a reflection

The weird reflection in the first picture almost made it look like someone modified the bolster to be a bottle opener. Who's going to be the first to actually try it?

This. That's a ceiling light or vent reflected in the shininess of the brass. Notice it's not in the full knife shot.
