I know I've seen this answered before but after doing a search, I can't find it. I have some Buck 110 cut out bladed Limited Edition knives and the question came up... 'Are these blades weakened excessively by the cut outs?' I have no intention of using them but the question was interesting! :) See the link...

In a nutshell ........Yes, they are weakened by the
blade cutouts. It would take very little effort to
snap these blades compared to the standard blade.

As stated earlier these knives were intended for
collectors as display knives.

I've got one with the deer hoofprint cut out. I picked it up because I liked the stag scales.:D I'd trade it in a heartbeat for a BG42/ stag 110FG.;)

I've received a few e mails saying no one has seen a hoofprint version before, heres a scan..

Tightwad - Thanks for the confirmation on blade weakness due to the cut out. I'll continue to collect & display them & use my others!:D
Jake - Can't help you out with the BG42/ stag 110FG but I'll keep my eyes open. Now I know where to find the 'hoof print' cut out!:D Ever get that redbone damascus?
