Hey just curious how thick the blade on a 110 is. Google and search function brought me no results

Reason is, I'm looking for a relatively cheap beater with a tough blade and the 110 seems to fit the bill.
Thanks in advance!

 A cheap BEATER!!!

just kidding.

I dont have my mic or caliper handy but I would say it is about an eight of an inch 1/8" thick...
Very durable great knife! You should really like it!

Maybe not a beater, but I am still very cautious about using $100+ knives to do much more than cut cardboard...hopefully that will change. :o
Let's say I need an affordable beefy knife instead of a beater :p
Thanks for the response!

No problem hope it helps and sorry its not an exact measurement!
I know, I was just kidding, I cant spend $100.00 on a knife to use either :D

I actually measured three; all were .120"... ;)

I think the only one I have that is thinner is an old 2-line, 2-pin, slab side 110 which is .115"...

Close enough to 1/8" ... Right?

An old Buck Kalinga. Goes right through deer like nothing flat. One of the top shelf field dressing knives I've ever used. Gave one to my brother and he says the same thing. May be 420HC steel but hey, it does the job what can I say.

O.K. its 11 gauge then :D
stupid notebook paper ;)

Yes, that's an excellent point...I wonder if the rolling mill only supplies it in gauge size???

What have you got against lined notebook paper??? (I never seem to have enough)... :(

All the sheet metal we use at work comes in guage size except 3/16" and thicker. Then it goes by the actual thickness.

I dont have anything against notebook paper except it made me wrong by .005 of an inch :D Stupid notebook paper :D

10 demerits each...none of you guys welcomed him to the Buck forum and pimped for the Gold! :D

Welcome to the Buck Fourm ehhh!

Wow didn't expect so many responses. Thanks, trax, for the exact measurement. Sounds about average thickness for it's size, but that classic look is really growing on me...I might just have to get one.
Thanks for the welcome, too.
