Hey, I have been modifying a Buck 110 (I know that voids the warranty), and I was wondering if there is any way to purchase a blade for a Buck 110 (ideally an S30V blade with a 50 year anniversary blade stamp), either from Buck or any other place. I know I could just send it in or get another knife, but I just wanted to see if I could buy just a blade with nothing else. Thankyou!

CJ, welcome. I take your on this one. I doubt it but you can try. Call Buck and see what they say. DM

I tried to buy a blade. they wont sell for liability reasons so I made a blade for two of mine from aldo's 1084 and haven't looked back. granted it isn't stainless but al in all a very good choice for me.

no buck really really does not want to sell blades
once upon a time ya could ask sweetly and send in come cash and get a up grade
now ... not likely
however
if'n ya gets hold o master Leroy...
that guru jest might have a blade he can put in one fer ya
dat master Leroy ... well he jest works majic on dem buck knives don't ya kno ...

I called 'em. Nope... Nothin'. But... who is this "Master Leroy" you speak of? PS: I want to buy the blade and do it myself, not have someone else do it.

LOL. Now that's funny.

You can't just post that picture without some kind of explanation. Come on ITE. Pretty please and thank you.

All you folks mentioned some great knife makers but you forgot about Stone knife works. Heath Stone is always busier than a hoot but it never hurts to ask or at least a quick e-mail. He is one heck of a guy, worked under the tutelage of Leroy Remer and did collaboration knife work with Leroy, Wild Bill ad I believe David Yellowhorse. He has done over 34 handles for me along with lots of sprucing up on other knives. He is on the board of directors of the BCCI and has done work with the Buck Custom Shop. He does as well as those mention if not better.
He may not have a blade but you can e-mail him and he will answer back, just depends on how busy he is but a day or two is usually about it.
I can imagine however that to buy a 50th blade would be about as cheap as just buying the cheapest you can get on the internet (under $30) but it won't be any fancy steel for that price.

CM, there are a lot of great knife maker's out there... I talk about Leroy, WBC and David Yellowhorse, because they are friends of mine and they are only 35 miles from me... Well, Leroy and WBC are anyway... I don't know Heath Stone... But we did talk on the phone one time... Leroy and Heath plan on opening a shop next year... Heath does great work too... I love his Stag handles he does... Maybe some day I'll have Heath do some handle work for me... I hope to meet Heath someday... :)

This is just the way they are... You'll see Leroy this weekend... Ask him... LOL ... He's from Lakeside Hills...
Don't tell him I said that...

only way you will get the s30v blade from buck is if your knife has the s30v blade already. if you have the 420 blade then they replace with a 420. I have asked that too and was told they didn't do upgrades to a knife blade. that was one reason I have two with 1084 blades in them. I have the tools and skill to do my blades though. I am about to do two more for a couple of my friends. I like flat grinds and carbon as well. your other option would be buy a 110 with the s30v blade swap blades and sell the one you don't want.

Buck made a 110-sized folder, Selector, that you could swap in and out blades until the cows come home. You can find them still on the secondary market.

110-sized blades, non-Buck, are available for your knife. Hunt and peck and you will find or ping me and I'll ping you back with a link.

You can't always get what you want but if you try, sometimes, you get what you need (Stones).

No, I just collect Buck Blades... and they are hard to come by... I get lucky some times...
I collect more of the Gold etch Blades... I'm trying to made a display of different Blades...
I know Leroy doesn't like to sell any Blades... He will trade some times if you have a blade
that he needs... I also collect Buck parts for making knives...

Well, I've emailed Buck and a few others, looked all over the place, axed around, and it looks like I'm just going to harvest the parts off another knife.

ItsTooEarly, I'm the same way. I enjoy looking around flea markets for knives and it seems like I come across Bucks the least of any knives. I've come across beaters at a good price and I buy them and put away. I'm always thinking that when I retire, I might try to refurbish them for a hobby or I could send them in for a reblade. Found a 4 dot 110 that someone broke the blade down short and filed it to a drop point, used it as a hammer, but it had nice scales and was $5 so I couldn't resist and so into my project bin it went. One day I'll probably have a stash as well.
