I read somewhere that it has a cancer warning label on the box?? Is this true? Also I read that it does not lock, I would just like to confirm if it doesn't lock and also see if there was a reason for it not locking if it really doesn't.

It absolutely does lock. It differs from any other 110 only in it's esthetics. Most if not all Buck knife boxes have that warning label on it. Do a search and you'll see that the label has been discussed here many times.

P.S. Unless you know that a dealer is a "paid dealer" of this forum, best not to post a link to them. It's considered deal spotting by the mods and can bring disiplinary action against the poster.

Lol @ this post " You better send that cancer causing knife to me Dave! You need to do that quick.....it should not be in your house "

I found this review on the chairman cherrywood 110 I mentioned earlier when starting this forum. I don't understand this review * " This knife is great except for one weakness. It does not have a safety. If you put it in a tight sheath and the button is depressed the knife will try to open. I have experienced this first hand. So be carefull. Otherwise ita a great addition to a knife collection especially if your left handed. " * I know of the lockback for closing.

Really strange, the review must be for a converted model. Can you post a link to the review?

I see what you're saying. I don't think the guy has a clue, either that or he's mixed up about his knives. The left handed remark also leads me to believe he's talking about something else. There is no left or right hand issue with a 110.

Thanks for the reply man. Also, I can start a new forum but I thought I would add on it here. What is a good brass polish that won't affect/hurt the non brass parts of the knife and will polish up the brass nice, for example on a vanguard or a 110. I was going to use brasso but, the reviews on the new formula are pretty horrible.

Let's go back to the "review" for a minute. I assume that you already own or have handled a 110, so let's forget that the "reviewer" is talking about the Chairman Series 110. After all, it's nothing more than a dolled up standard 110.

Now, thinking about the 110 that you know, do do some of the statements in his "reveiw" make any sense at all? I think not.

If he had been doing a review of a 110 like this, I might see a remote possiblity of an issue.

I don't know how it could be any other thing than a converted automatic. It doesnt make sense that a mod 110 would have been purchased on amazon though. At 1st, I thought the non-locking thing may have been one of the slippies, but apparently not unless they call all Bucks "folding hunters" even then, slippies dont open on thier own any more than a 110 should.
Very strange.

I plan to just get a cherry custom from buck when I can get the money with the grooves. They have better steel options too.

The funny thing is I have seen a few comments on a bunch of different products from Amazon that just make no sense. I say conspiracy!
