Hey all,
I just received my NKCA Gazette, (I think that is the name!) and was extremely pleased to learn that the most copied and, arguably, most famous knife in the world has been chosen by the National Knife Collectors Assn.
as their club knife for 2001. No details were given, blurb said details follow next month. Now, that is a pleasant surprise. Instead of buying a knife to support the NKCA
that I really don't give a hoot about, I will be able to buy a club knife I really want!!!
I am going to speculate that the 110 will be stag with nickel silver bolsters. I also suspect the steel will be Buck's standard which as of now is 420HC. Any of you have any additional info? Please remember, the above is strictly my best guess based upon previous NKCA knives.

and missed seeing it, because the Buck guys had the prototype at the Buck Booth in Atlanta. I emailed you a picture of the prototype. Let me know if you get it. I talked to one of the sales reps about moving the NKCA cut out a little forward so that all the NKCA would be visable with the knife closed and we came up with doing away with the nail knick and using cut for the nail knick, he said it could happen if the blades were not started yet, we will see what happens.
I haven't been able to figure out how to post pictures on the fourm, if anyone has a way, would you please let me know.
Would be interesting to see how many local clubs have had a Buck for their annual knife

I have my NKCA Gazette right here and am VERY happy to see that they chose the 110 as their club knife! The changes should be ok because we have not started on this project yet.
I will give out more details as they becaome available and after checking with NKCA to make sure they don't mind me "letting the cat out of the bag".
