Hello,

I've heard tale of some folks thinning, rescaling and adding pocket clips to a 110. Does anyone here on the forum offer such services?

I've always loved the look and feel of a 110, but don't like belt pouches and can't deal with a big brass brick at the bottom of my pocket. Thinning it a bit and adding a clip would be perfect.

Thanks,

Bryce

I have a 2011 110 that has some pretty bad blade centering when closed. It's a walmart special that came with a nylon belt sheath.

I also have a 4"X32" bench sander, a few other tools and a pretty good understanding of how a 110 is assembled.

If winter ever packs its bags and moves on, I plan on trying to thin it myself. At worst, I lose a little bit of time and destroy a $30 knife.

Even if I do, I'll learn a lesson worth more than $30.

If you've got the tools, give it a try. If you have a chance to pick up a 110 with a broken blade or lock bar for a couple dollars at the local flea market, even better.
