Probably a blade change-out. I had Leroy Remer install Damascus factory blades in several different knives a few years ago. This could have been one of them. I sold them all after my stroke.

What you have there is French green dymondwood.with a damascus blade swap.

Maybe, but the OP's original post lists a blue fibron manufactured in 1989, which corresponds to the blade date code, and EVERY "blue" fibron Buck scale that I have ever seen would be called green if you didn't have the box labelled BL for blue.

Arksknives, RAZORBLADES, Tin Sue Thank you for answers. I assumed that it is blade change-out.
I would like to know the approximate date when the knife was made. Are there any ideas?

Hi RBasil! I think that it is an original knife. I have the same in my collection.
And the same year mark on the blade.
One scale is dark green, another- very dark green. Let me check, I had the information about this knife in my archive.

Hi Serhionew! I will be glad if you find any information about this knife!

I have checked my archive - I bought this knife from the big private collection. It was specified in the list like damascus knife with parallel black fibron scales.
According to the information, I have, it is : cat#8148, model 110 FD.

I have never seen photos of damascus Buck-110 with black fibron. And, like Tin Sue, I have never seen photos of Buck-110 with blue fibron also.

Serhionew Thanks a lot! This is very interesting information for me!

Just browsing through the threads and thought I would say what I have.

The nib black fibron handles are dark not quite black and with good lighting appear like they have gold metallic streaks. I'll give it a shot, but the big DSLR battery is shot and doubt I could even come close to doing it justice in a pic. It is a 1994 with brass bolsters.

The nib Aqua fibron, as it says on the box, appears more of a dark brown and has lighter streaks but not like the black one. Its a double dash 1992 with NS bolsters.

CJ put a note in a thread a long time ago about the way they layered the material and got multicolor effects. I can see that more in this black one than the Aqua.

Not promising anything but will try and get some pics..

I managed to get a pic showing some of the gold hilights in the blk fibron

And the Aqua fibron
