Hey, I thought you guys would get a kick out of this. My buddy shot this big bear a couple of weeks ago while we were deer hunting, and I thought the Buck 110 he used to field dress it would look good in it's mouth for some pictures. It also helps with a nice perspective as to the size of those big teeth. Enjoy.

Great! Thats a good photo showing his maxilla and zygomatic arches, which is the measurement they are scored by. Did he use a Buck knife to skin him? Plus, your buddy's Bear was not old, more in his prime. Thanks for sharing this with us. DM

David, thanks for the info about the jaws. Yes, he was a nice mature boar tipping about 350 lbs, but not overly old as you stated. We've got skull as shown, skin/fur at the taxidermy, and about 150 lbs of sausage and meat sticks coming. As for the skinning, that 110 had not been sharpened in a while. Using it to field dress, split the brisket, etc. pretty much ended it's duties for that trip, since we didn't have a sharpener. We had a few other knives for the skinning and boning out chores. In hindsight, I should have brought my custom shop 110 with s30V blade. It would have done the whole bear no problem. It ended up being a memorable hunt and a great ending to a very slow and unfruitful deer season.
