Can someone tell me where I can get a drop point blade put on one of my 110s. I've looked
on Bucks custom shop and didn't see that as an option, but have seen pictures of it done.

Thanks

I believe the drop point 110 was a limited edition, rather than a regularly available custom shop blade option.

Haven't seen one in a few years. It will likely pop up again at some point if you keep your eye out.

I have been interested in the drop point 110 myself. The clip point on a knife that size is a turn off for me.

The 110 is such a classic knife but I don't like the clip point either. We were lucky enough to work with Buck to create our own which was built to our specs. It has been a hit with the traditional guys and for any Buck collector.

Arks Knives also took some of our knives and did custom stag handles that turned out awesome.

Road, here's your last chance to procure one. As this is a good one. The Buck Collectors did a run of this model a few years back with the same blade. Except it had paperstone handles and no rear bolster with finger grooves. DM

Nicely done Eric/DLT and WOW! Lookin GOOD. I notice your blade got the S30V lasering on the blade's back side while the BCCI version didn't. You are needed in the club I think...

Desert Dave was kind enough to mention the Buck Collectors Club S30V bare headed drop point 110 with paperstone scales so here are a few photos for your amusement:

Find yourself a Schrade USA 250T which has both a clip and drop point skinning blade. Good knife and no more uncomfortable to carry than the 110. This assumes that you want one to use versus collect.

Two of the Buck Selector blades had drop points. One was full serrated and the other plain edged. It is not much of a deal to drop a Selector blade into a 110 handle. All you need is a #5X40TPI Helicoil kit and a #5 counter bore for the #5X40TPI cap screw. I can put any Selector blade in a 110 handle. For that matter, I can put any 110 format blade in a 110 handle.

I carry the 250T daily, it honed to a razor edge quite easily and holds well. I also have the Buck 110 S30V Alaskan Guide knife, super sharp out of the box!
