Well first of all this knife belongs to a friend he asked me should I buy this knife I said that I've never seen one so he sent these pictures of it , what he wants to know is how many of these may of been made and any opinions or comments about the knife would be welcomed and appreciated .

Now for some pictures .

A closeup on the blade stamp .

And the blade .

Erm wheres the buy it now button ! I cant find it damn !

I would love that knife . I have a similar damascus radius hollow ground 110 stamped buck 110 V it was made by leroy. Possibly this one too ??

Well, D-Rig, I think the blade is a standard damas blade from the early 90s carefully ground to the drop point shape. I am pretty sure that this is an individual making, more or less one of a kind. The man who ground this blade did a good job.

Sorry there is no " Buy It Now Button " this person will not part with it .

ITE can you post a picture of the blade you have please , I really would like to see it .

Skelator88 that is one fine looking dasmascus blade you have there .

I agree with Haebbie, a reground clip point blade. Can you show us a photo of the blade closed in the well at the butt end? DM

I've seen the Damascus blades in brass frames as well, showing up as 'New' in the 89 catalogue. That sweeping grind on Skelator's blade was done in the custom shop as that style grind didn't show up in production knives until 87 on the 923 Skinner, stated, as 'Today Offering in Buck's custom collectibles'. Perhaps showing up as early as the 86 catalogue as I'm having trouble finding that one. Yet, no mention of it in the 85 catalogue. So, I wouldn't doubt that is a proto-type 110 done in the custom shop with a standard stamp. Perhaps from the infamous X-Buck employee. Don't know why it didn't get the custom stamp. Plus, these knives you gents are showing have nickel silver frames and the earliest I found those in a catalogue is 89. So, that's on target. The style of Rig's blade is never mentioned in a 1990 catalogue. DM
