It sits on a shelf in the pawnshop. Under the grime and grub it looks like a Buck 110. The blade says 110+, 1991. It also has finger grooves.

The forward upsweep of the belly is gone. Ground down to be straight edged the full length. Looks like a pennant.

They are asking $15. Some Bubba has taken it to the grinding wheel.

I'm wondering what Buck would charge to install a new blade. I hate to see something so ill treated. I am emailing them to ask about the blade.

It would make a nice piece on what not to do to a knife. Or I may buff it up and put it with my other 110's. With the blade glued shut. :D

Leroy of RRR knives would also be some one to talk to about a blade, he may even have a blade close to that time period for it. HL

Buck is great about things that aren't abuse. However, this one sounds like it may have been abused.

Could be worth a buy if you wanted the handle/frame to send to a custom guy to put a blade into down the road.

If it were a nickle silver I would be all over it for that money. Otherwise, would pass unless you liked it as is or had a custom project in mind.

I had a custom idea in the back of my mind. It isn't nickle silver. Just a staight common knife.

Pellidon, Welcome . The finger grooved frame is worth 10-15$ and then Buck can put a 2010 four twenty blade in it or Leroy might can put a correct year blade in it . (619-561-2442) Call for pricing . Either way you'll have a 110 worth 50$ when returned . You decide . DM
