So I gave my son a Buck 110 for his birthday on Tuesday. Yesterday, under the watchful eye of the Dept. of Fish and Game he got to use his new knife to dissect a Mountain Lion that had been hit by a car. It was one of three mountain lions that were dissected for study data. I'm so jealous. What a great first use. In accordance with the Dept. of Fish and Game no pictures are available.

Wow,

What a memory that will be his with that knife all of his life!

Thanks for sharing

sounds like he'll remember that!

first use my buck 110 got was christmas dinner, consisiting of pheasant, partridge, quail and reindeer steaks :D

I like how it took like 1 day for the brass to patina up and start looking old! felt like bit of noob with a mirror shiny knife in my pocket  it's nice and filthy now, stabbed all the snowmen like a boss today so it got a little cleaner.

:D Breaking in a new 110 is always memorable :D

But a Mountain Lion would be something else!

I remember a few months back when I bought mine! Since then, I have prepared dinner in the kitchen, chop twigs in the woods, and skinned many of animals. It has never left eye sight! I always find myself finding a poor excuse to use it, and well the rest of my kives. No more shiny brass bolsters or smooth sanded blade.. It's getting it's age!
