Howdy y'all first id like to point out this is my first post on this forum. I was in wally world today and saw a buck 110 lite for 20 bucks. I thought about buying it but wasn't sure I didnt want to waste my money. I already have the standard brass 110 but it is kinda heavy and I figured the 110 lite would be easier to throw in my pocket and go. Plus if I get the 110 lite I won't get as many dirty looks for being a 15yr old with something sticking out on my belt lol. (by the way ww don't let me by knives unless i have a parent with me but if i have one with me they never say anything at the walmart I go to). Please tell me what y'all think of the 110 it

Thanks clay

WELCOME!!!

Bladeforums actually has a Buck subforum here: https://www.bladeforums.com/forums/buck-knives.701/
LOTS of knowledge specifically about Buck in there, and there are many MANY other subforums full of knowledgeable folk, prettymuch all of whom will support you in your knife-carrying/using preferences.

The 110 lite is indeed a weight-improvement over the classic model, and Buck has variations with different blade shape and features (like the disco'd Bucklite Max 486). My preference is for the smaller 112-size range, and I really like the new micarta 112 slim. I think any version of the 110 might get you dirty looks in a lot of public places due to blade-length, but it is a GREAT work-knife.

Again, welcome to the forums

Great knife, great company. Every knife knut should have a 110 (or three). Look for one in S30V steel -- the standard 420HC is excellent but S30V is better.

Love the 110 and 110LT.
So far I've gotten two and plan to gift another.
They're great for when you wanna carry a 110 but want one in your pocket for a change of pace.
I'm never without a belt on and never notice the weight of my 110 in the quality leather sheath they come with, but the 110LT is just a nice change of pace and they're one of the best folding knives you could buy for $20.

It's every bit as good of a knife as the standard 110, the standard is maybe a bit stronger but the LT is plenty strong and I don't think it should matter anyways with proper use.

Thanks hickery n steel I think I'm gonna go for it and try to get it this weekend deer seasons in right now I always check for my knife but if im in the woods id rather lose a 20 dollar knife instead of a 50 dollar one.

The 110 LT is an excellent choice. Amazing knife for a very low cost. I have a 112 LT that I carry every day. So light I hardly notice it, really sharp, and holds an edge well. I think I paid $23 or $25, so a 110 LT for $20 is a great price.
