to all the buck collectors:

There is ONE-buck knife, a 110, that I am wanting badly and it came to me that some how it may show up on ebay or elseware and that with the hard core collectors here some one may spot it and I am asking your assistance as a knife collectors to help me it in the long shot that it does show up.

It is a buck 110 folding hunter that was given to me by a family member in the 70’s. It has ivory inlayed in the wood sides, the wood is very dark even for buck, and the knife has engravings on the brass and ivory of a nautical nature.

I did the ivory inlay to both sides, scrimshawed the ivory and engraved the brass bolsters myself as a much younger man, it was my personal knife that I used and not a collector item.

It was lost about 1981-82 in west central Florida state at the Florida power station red level location coal units 4/5.

It is not fine art work on it, rather Americana naval folk art style. I may have even put my name on it but don’t remember for sure. It was lost (not sold) were I worked at a power plant in central florida at the time but it could be any were as construction types travle. It is my hope that some day it may turn up on ebay or possibility some other knife show or sale or already has and that some one who reads this has seen it.

It is also my prayer that should some collector see it or have it that they will contact me concerning its recovery. I can assure you that I will cover the cost of its recovery/ reward to a reasonable extent. I will assure you that I would not miss identify that knife should it be listed and i can still describe the shape of the ivory- the 2 sides do not match. If you have seen or heard of this knife, Please contact me!!!

I thank you for your time in reading this and a reply is not necessary but desired if you have seen such a knife, have questions about it or you jest want to chat about buck knives.

As much as I love finding knives, nothing would make me feel better than returning a lost knife to it's owner. Best Wishes in your search.
